The Role
The Senior Cloud Application Engineer role at Fusion Risk Management is a critical position responsible for building and maintaining the underlying platform services for The Fusion Framework System. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a pioneering team working with cutting-edge technologies. You will play a key role in enhancing and expanding our enterprise resiliency platform, ensuring the highest level of performance, scalability, security, and reliability.
The Senior Cloud Application Engineer will report to the Application Engineering Manager within the office of the Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Responsibilities:
- Take a lead role in designing, building, and maintaining the cloud-based platform services for The Fusion Framework System.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features and enhancements.
- Ensure platform scalability, performance, and security in a multi-tenant SaaS environment.
- Employ best practices for cloud engineering, security, operations, and release management.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Development, and Infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to cloud infrastructure.
- Stay updated with the latest cloud technologies and recommend improvements to enhance the platform.
Requirements
- Five plus years of experience of proven experience in building enterprise capabilities in a cloud-based environment across the full cloud stack (engineering, security, operations, and release management).
- Strong knowledge and experience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture, microservices, and API development.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools like Jenkins, Git, and Docker.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with SaaS and/or building multi-tenant SaaS products is highly desired.
- Ideal/desired: Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications in relevant domains (e.g., engineering, security, operations).
