Senior Cloud Data Integration Engineer (Remote Opportunity)

VetsEZ is seeking a Senior Cloud Data Integration Engineer to join our team supporting the Data Migration & Syndication (DMS) efforts within the Electronic Health Record Modernization Integration Office (EHRM-IO) for the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a key player, you’ll collaborate with EHRM Architects and stakeholders to design, enhance, and implement cloud strategies to integrate VistA and Oracle Health Millennium data, supporting advanced analytics, AI/ML, research, and reporting needs.

The candidate must reside within the continental US.

Responsibilities:

• Design and manage ETL/ELT processes, data models, and data standards.
• Utilize tools such as Databricks, erwin Data Modeler, and Azure Data Factory to manage and optimize data pipelines.
• Perform data integration and management across multiple platforms.
• Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Optimize Databricks jobs and data pipelines.
• Update documentation and database design documents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related technical field, plus 15+ years of experience.
• Proficiency with data integration tools and languages (e.g., SSIS, T-SQL, Python, Databricks, Azure Data Factory).
• Experience with Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of database architecture, security, and cloud data lake management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment, taking ownership of tasks and delegating effectively.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.

Additional Qualifications:

• Experience with VA or other federal organizations.
• Familiarity with Data Migration and Syndication within the VA.
• Ability to obtain a Government clearance.
