Summary/Objective:

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Developer with extensive experience in AWS, .NET, C#, RESTful API development, and a solid understanding of front-end web technologies. This position is fully in-person at our San Diego facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cloud infrastructure, be well-versed in best practices for API design and development and have a passion for creating robust and scalable systems. Experience with front-end technologies is a plus, as you will be collaborating closely with our user experience team.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Cloud Infrastructure: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure using AWS services.
  
• API Development: Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using .NET and C# that are efficient, scalable, and easy to integrate with other systems.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with mobile application developers and user experience team to ensure seamless integration of APIs with user-facing components.
  
• Security: Implement best practices for security in cloud environments and APIs.
  
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all software developed complies with industry regulations and adheres to rigorous testing protocols to maintain high standards of quality and reliability.
  
• Monitoring and Optimization: Continuously monitor the performance of cloud services and APIs and optimize them for speed and efficiency.
  
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure and APIs.
  
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers on best practices in cloud development, .NET, C# and API design.
• Operate with high standards that are aligned to Certified B-Corp values.

Required Qualifications

• Education: A degree in a related engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of experience in cloud development, with a strong focus on AWS.
• .NET & C#: Extensive experience in developing applications and APIs using .NET and C#.
• API Development: Proven experience in designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Front-End Knowledge: Basic understanding of front-end web technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
• Security: Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Regulated Industry Experience: Experience working in a regulated industry, with a focus on ensuring compliance and rigorous software testing.
• Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications: AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer).
  
• DevOps Experience: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  
• Microservices: Experience with microservices architecture.

Physical Demands

• While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is regularly required to be independently mobile. The employee is also required to interact with a computer, and communicate with co-workers.

Location

In-office in Beta Bionics' San Diego office.

Salary Range

$115,000 - $155,000
