The Senior Cloud Engineer is responsible for assisting in the transformation of our technology into a cloud first architecture by partnering with the business, Cloud Architects and Engineering teams. The Senior Cloud Engineer will work with other infrastructure/application partners and key stakeholders to understand cloud usage dependencies and develop optimized engineering patterns. The Senior Cloud Engineer stays abreast of the fast-moving cloud space and uses that knowledge to engineer new cloud solutions enabling developers to utilize cloud technologies and capabilities to deliver value for our business.

Primary Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Participating in requirements and design workshops with our stakeholders
• Designing and developing deployments leveraging IaC techniques using Terraform
• Installing and configuring application software and configuration using Powershell, Linux shell or Ansible scripting methods
• Develop automation pipelines using Azure DevOps
• Understanding of the SDLC process to ensure proper methodology to manage code lifecycle
• Develop and maintain code checkpoints to allow server rollbacks to last known good configuration

Job Requirements

Required Education and/or Certifications

• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience

Required Work Experience

• 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Azure
• 5+ years' experience deploying Azure products and applications via automated scripts
• 5+ years' experience working with cloud-based elasticity, last known good configuration recovery and DR/HA implementations
• Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

Salary Band: 06C

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, WI, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
