THE ROLE: Senior Cloud Managed Services Engineer (Azure)

Job Summary:

Presidio is seeking a Senior Cloud Managed Services Engineer (Azure) to join our team in a remote capacity. The Sr. Cloud Managed Services Engineer will work with our customers on their mission-critical applications running on the AWS and Azure public clouds, providing both engineering guidance and technical support. Our team of engineers work hand in hand with our Professional Services teams, providing an end-to-end experience for our customers, and providing opportunities for career growth inside and outside of Cloud Managed Services. One thing about us - we don't like doing the same thing twice: our engineers work to improve our customer experience through automation, so we can continue to solve interesting problems for our customers!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Driver for the enhancement of the Managed Services delivery platform
  • Mastering engineering operational best practices to provide effective support
  • Being the subject matter expert in cloud infrastructure and providing senior-level technical guidance on all infrastructure-related systems, tools, and applications.
  • Utilize your deep experience and strong problem-solving skills to debug, resolve and provide root causes for complex issues
  • Document resolutions to internal knowledge base and support cross-training knowledge including leading training initiatives
  • Managing intake and escalations to the client and internal teams, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues and roadblocks without intervention
  • Improve the optimization, redundancy, and stability of cloud systems, including proactive monitoring and management of services
  • Flexible and willing to work outside core business hours as required, including on-call and escalation support. Location covering continental US timezones,

Required Skills:

  • Experience in multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure support
  • Experience with Microsoft marketplace and/or subscription services
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools
  • Experience in monitoring setup, configuration, and alert synthesizing, DataDog a plus
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based documentation, including architecture diagrams, policies and procedures, and training materials.
  • Knowledge with AKS, EKS or leading Kubernetes distributions
  • Work with technical and application development teams in architecting and designing DevSecOps capabilities
  • Extensive knowledge of TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting, prior networking experience is a plus
  • Experience of distributed systems, APIs, cloud computing patterns, including automation creation and management
  • Extreme ownership to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve new and complex technical issues
  • Self-driven & motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem solving
  • Experience with utilizing Git, JIRA, and ServiceNow
  • Intermediate/Architect level Cloud service provider certifications are required
  • Experience with ITSM principles

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
  • 3-5 years of industry experience with Azure

    • Day 2 cloud managed services operations
    • Azure AD B2B, Lighthouse and other identity and access management services
    • Cloud systems engineering
    • Cloud networking concepts and services
    • Hands-on DevOps in a cloud environment
    • Cloud security and governance
    • Cloud-native backup and patching automation
    • 5+ years of experience in a designated customer-focused support role
