Senior Cloud Engineer - Azure

We are excited to be hiring for a Senior Cloud Engineer with a specialization in Azure!
Position Summary
Responsible for service delivery with public and private cloud environments. The position will focus on infrastructure as a service which involves compute, storage and network elements.
The Sr. Technical Consultant working on the Hosted Services team would be focused on architecting and implementing various IT Infrastructure technologies as mentioned below with an emphasis on design, implementations for new and existing clients, migration and configuration of new infrastructure as a service solutions, verbose documentation of projects or task and other duties as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain server and system uptime SLAs
- Server reporting and alert management
- Maintain certifications with technology partners
- Troubleshooting customer issues in an urgent fashion
- Install and implement systems and solutions
- Post-sales technical follow-ups
- Customer remote support (primary)
- Ensure proper tracking of work orders and incidents through an electronic help desk system
- Problem management and resolution of issues in a timely manner
- Prioritization of tasks and meeting of deadlines, excellent time management skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and assessment skills
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Must be a team player with outstanding customer service skills
- The ability to mentor and guide peers and assist teammates when skill set requires
- Entry of timesheets, expense reports and documentation on or before deadline
- Keep up-to-date on market trends, theory and new ways of doing things; embrace change
- Assist with change-management activities
- Prepare and deliver complete and concise documentation for all projects
- Present progress reports to immediate supervisor and or Project Manager (if so assigned)
- Manage multiple large scale projects in a fast paced environment

- Participate in on-call schedule serving as one of the highest levels of escalation for network and security issues.

Education/Experience/Certifications
- Associate’s Degree required (Bachelor’s Degree preferred)
- 10+ years hands-on IT experience
- Certifications
- Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent (Required)
- Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect – Associate or equivalent desired
- Zerto Certification desired
- Veeam Certification desired
- Areas of Expertise
- Practical operational and design expertise with Azure (AWS a plus if additional)
- Design architecture of private/hybrid/public cloud architectures
- Migration of workloads to public cloud environments
- Troubleshooting public cloud security, instances, database services
- Provisioning of cloud resources securely and ensuring data protection/backup/replication
- Working knowledge of cloud storage, design and protection
- Working knowledge of Windows Server and Domain Services 2016 and higher is required
- Expert level experience with VMware ESXi 6.x is a plus
- Experience with vCloud Director is a plus
- Experience with Zerto DRaaS is a plus
- Experience with Veeam is a plus
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience with Windows desktop and servers is required
- Basic knowledge and experience with Linux based operating systems such as RedHat, Ubuntu, Fedora, Gentoo and SUSE
- Must demonstrate understanding of TCP/IP including layer 2/3 VLANs
- Ability to troubleshoot IP networks
- Intermediate to expert knowledge and experience with monitoring and assessment of system utilization, network performance and capacity planning

- Advanced to expert knowledge and understanding of all layers of the OSI model
- Basic to advanced knowledge and experience in automation including scripting, scheduled tasks, work flow design, mass deployment of software, etc.
- Basic to advanced knowledge of data loss prevention
Work Environment and Physical Demands
- Work primarily in a climate controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds) may be required
