Senior Cloud Engineer (Java/Python)

Join a specialized team working on migrating a leading proprietary data platform to the Cloud. You will help build a secure, scalable, robust, modular framework that supports various services and allows customers to access their data effortlessly.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deliver modular cloud-based solutions.
• Optimize cloud applications for performance, uptime, and scaling.
• Ensure security and monitoring of the cloud infrastructure.
• Work with product management, support, QA, and documentation teams.

Required Experience

• 8+ years of experience with AWS or other cloud computing (Azure/GCP).
• Financial services industry experience in Capital Markets.
• 6+ years of experience with AWS API Gateway, Lambda, or other AWS services.
• Experience building modern enterprise applications and deploying to cloud systems.
• 8+ years of experience with Java or Python.
• Desire to work in a full-stack environment.
• Experience and knowledge of Source Code Management or Version Control systems (Git, Perforce, Subversion).
• Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and support highly available solutions.
• Understanding of cloud security, IAM, privacy, data security, security patterns, and compliance control.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
• In-depth knowledge of Agile Software Development practices and how to leverage these to streamline project execution.
• BS in computer science or a related field.

Preferred Experience

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or similar (KCNA, CKAD, CKS)
