Senior Cloud Network Engineer
Job Description
Applied Research Solutions is seeking a remote full-time Senior Cloud Network Engineer that is willing to travel as necessary to instantiate new points of presence and modernize existing sites. The Senior Cloud Network Engineer's primary function will be to work with their team and the government to design a stable and secure multi cloud network. The ability to obtain a DoD 8570 certificate and a clearance are required.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with ISPs to ensure high availability of critical sites
- Leveraging NaaS solutions
- Enableing network automation and devops software development
- Designing and implementing a multi cloud, multi-tier network
- Ensuring compliance with government requirements
- Coordinating security patching and configuration efforts
- Supporting network implementation, documentation, and maintenance
- Working with C level Government representatives to ensure compliance
- Effectively communicate (written and verbal) with others
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Familiarity with cloud architectures and safeguarding them
- Familiarity with Government Networks
- 5 years' experience as a Network engineer
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Professional level cloud certification preferred
- Secret Clearance preferred
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570 compliant certification
- Familiarity with DoD systems and requirements
- Customer centric attitude
