Senior Cloud Ops Engineer
Due to our platform's exceptional growth, we are seeking a Senior Cloud DevOps engineer with extensive experience within AWS/Azure, working with Kubernetes and Terraform and with Datadog to join our engineering team.
This Senior role works closely with the Platform delivery and Content teams to deliver cutting edge labs. You will play an important part in giving certainty to the platform security, stability and availability. It's an amazing opportunity to shape and feed into our technology roadmap, and help steer our platform for a new future.

You'll get to work in a friendly multi-disciplinary agile team and also work on innovative ideas during our OneTeam Day - a whole day once every 2 weeks to innovate and explore new tools and technologies alongside colleagues from the larger engineering function

Your main responsibilities (we're scaling fast, so these may change as we grow):
You'll get to immerse yourself in Python, Docker, Kubernetes, Datadog and AWS. We want to give you a place where you'll learn from us and we'll learn from you through getting involved in the following:

• Participate in architecting and building systems for maximum performance, reliability and scalability
• Work with the Engineering and Content teams on new projects/products
• Maintain and improve the DevOps teams ability to rapidly and safely deploy code and configuration
• Support the development teams ability to rapidly and safely deploy code and configuration
• Participate in on-call rotation, as an escalation path in the case of high priority incidents
• Ensure that our services are robust, resilient, secure, and compliant

You should apply if you have (we know it's tough, but please try to avoid the confidence gap . You don't have to match all the listed requirements exactly to be considered for this role):

• A number of years of exposure to working in production-critical infrastructures and Cloud environments
• Knowledge of the Amazon Web Services ecosystem
• In depth knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
• Familiar with Serverless technologies
• Knowledge of network, firewall and security best practices
• Exposure to and understanding of infrastructure automation and deployment, specifically Terraform and Cloudformation
• Understanding of cloud monitoring tools
• A commitment to scripting, particularly Python
