Detailed Description:

You will be working on a team that is building a cloud-based development environment. You will work with a multi-disciplinary collaborative team of hardware, software engineers, and security specialists to design and implement a secure cloud-based software development and maintenance environment. You will be innovating and applying the latest security technologies and processes designed to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the environment. Implementing DevSecOps to include change control, testing and automation, vulnerability identification and remediation, endpoint security management, and identity and access management; furthermore, incorporating security solutions through automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC). You will be part of our employee-owned international research and engineering company. ARA is recognized for providing technically superior solutions to complex and challenging problems in the physical sciences, and you will be on this team.

Due to the work you'll perform and interactions with DoD programs you will need to hold a Secret Clearance.

Senior Cloud Security Engineer Required:

• BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or 7-9 years of relevant experience, OR Master's and 5-7 years of experience
• IASAE II certification - CASP+ CE, CISSP, or CSSLP obtained within six months of hire
• Team player with excellent communication skills
• Support engineering teams in developing cloud infrastructure
• Architect, build, and maintain security controls and resources in an AWS cloud environment
• Design, install, and configure security toolings such as Splunk, HBSS/ESS, and ACAS
• Knowledgeable in Linux and Windows OS configuration and administration
• Experience implementing STIGs with IaC
• Experience with Git and Agile Software Development

Senior Cloud Security Engineer Preferences:

• AWS Certified
• Experience building IaC using Terraform and Salt
• Willingness to expand into other technical skills
• DoD-based cyber resiliency training and vulnerability assessment experience and knowledge
