Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Intelsat Inflight has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Cloud Security Engineer (Senior Software Engineer). You will be part of a team responsible for keeping the organization's network operating efficiently and securely with a primary focus on maintaining the security of the cloud tenants. This is a hands-on role and requires administration and operational knowledge in security disciplines.

Can you drive these processes?

• Identify security gaps and implement best practices in a multi-account AWS/Azure environment
• Implement and leverage AWS security related services such as Trusted Advisor, Security Hub, Guard Duty, and more.
• Develop and implement cloud-based security solutions in alignment with Intelsat's security policies
• Provide evidence for audit such as PCI and SOX
• Remediate security vulnerabilities in a virtual and cloud environment.
• Documents, reviews, and ensures that all change control processes are completed per defined organizational standards
• Install necessary system software, hardware, and equipment both physical and virtual
• Knowledge of virtualization concepts, storage, and network technologies in a Hyper-Converged Hybrid Cloud (Nutanix AHV, VMware, Azure, and AWS)
• Work along cybersecurity to maintain and follow network security best practices
• Understanding of TCP/IP and other networking services: DNS, WINS, DHCP, and Routing
• Design, deploy and maintain the implementation of cloud solutions in AWS and Azure
• Participate in various compliance audits such as PCI and SOX
• Prioritize, analyze, and document security incidents, threats and critical metrics
• Review security data on a daily basis to reveal vulnerabilities and resolve as necessary
• Collaborate with Information Assurance team to address and reduce issues

You should definitely have:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• 5+ Years' experience in corporate infrastructure, security concepts, and platforms
• Working knowledge of AWS IAM, Azure Active Directory and Single Sign on
• Experience working with AWS
• Hands on experience in identifying and remediating common web application security flaws such as OSWAP Top 10
• Experience with network troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump
• Have a working knowledge of networking fundamentals and protocols
• Ability to complete threat analysis for SAAS applications
• Have experience with backend application architectures such as REST and SOAP
• Strong knowledge of enterprise cloud services and solutions including Microsoft Azure and AWS IaaS, PaaS and SaaS is desired.
• Ability to document and design in Visio network topologies and architecture.
