Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer (Remote US)

If you are a cloud and automation-focused engineer with in-depth design and implementation experience, we would like to talk to you. We are specifically looking for experience in streamlining workload management using VMware Tanzu and on Kubernetes clusters. The ideal candidate would be able to design solutions while having an understanding of all aspects of the technology stack.

Responsibilities

The Senior Cloud Solutions Engineer Implements organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance and support of cloud architecture. May work with stakeholders across organization to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions. Collaborates with product managers and engineers to develop specifications for new cloud based products/services, applications and solutions. Drives the roll-out of cloud management platforms, evaluates its performance and implements enhancements. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications

• 5 or more years of experience designing, developing, and testing infrastructure
• Experience with vSphere or other virtualized environments at an enterprise level
• Experience deploying IaC via CI/CD pipelines
• Experience working in a large, enterprise environment
• Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience in designing/implementing a Multi-Cloud Management & Control solution for Kubernetes
• Experience working with VMware Tanzu products
• Certifications in working with Azure, AWS or GCP public cloud solutions
• Experience working with release pipelines
• Experience working in an Agile operating model
  
  Additional Information
  
  Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their homes to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters.   • WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high-speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expenses.
  • A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
  • Satellite and Wireless Internet service is NOT allowed for this role.
