As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Senior CNC Programmer to join our team.

Position Summary: The Senior CNC Programmer will play a critical role in enhancing process controls and operational efficiencies at Avalign. This individual will leverage their extensive knowledge in turning and milling fundamentals, coupled with innovation, to achieve best-in-class cycle times and quality for our CNC machines, including lathes, mills, and grinders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain advanced CNC programming for 4-axis mills, Swiss style lathes, mill-turns, and multi-axis grinders.
• Implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Assist in training operators on machining fundamentals and oversee the creation of CNC machining setup sheets.
• Manage and update the DNC database, including program modifications and documentation analysis.
• Program new jobs and re-program existing ones, ensuring optimal machining strategies.
• Select appropriate tooling for new product processing and maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
• Adjust resource load to match the flow of work according to daily priorities.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in the setup and operations of manufacturing equipment, including Lathes, Mills, Wire EDM, and Grinders.
• Extensive experience with 4 to 9 axis machines.
• Proficient in CAD/CAM software (Mastercam, Esprit, PartMaker, Unigraphics, etc.), and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated ability in continuous process improvement methodologies, such as LEAN, Kanban, and cross-training.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• The role requires standing, walking, or sitting for prolonged periods, and occasionally lifting/moving up to 50 pounds.
• The work environment may involve exposure to hazardous materials, and appropriate safety measures should be followed.
