Senior Commerce Editor

Gallery Media Group is a rapidly growing digital media company whose mission is to “make positivity louder.” Its three key sectors include: 

• Media + Publishing: PureWow, a women’s lifestyle brand; ONE37pm, a men’s lifestyle brand at the intersection of culture, music, NFTs and sports; and a collection of premium podcast shows that includes the GaryVee Audio Experience, Card Talk, In House with Arielle Charnas, Royally Obsessed and The CMO Podcast with Jim Stengel
• Social Portfolio: 50+ owned and operated accounts across TikTok, Instagram, Twitter and Pinterest, including running TikTok accounts for brand partners
• Talent and Influencer Arm: Strategy and activations ranging from celebrity partnerships and stunts to year long ambassadorships and campaign work across platforms and categories

PureWow is seeking a full-time senior commerce editor to plan and edit our shopping content, which ranges from fashion, beauty and wellness to home, family and tech. The ideal candidate is a compassionate team-player who has SEO, affiliate and top-editing experience, and – let’s be honest – loves a good deal (60% off Jenni Kayne? Go ahead and take my money!). 

Responsibilities

• Top edits sales & deals stories, as well as more evergreen, SEO-driven commerce features
• Edits Shop emails 
• Manages sales & deals editorial calendar
• Edits and helps coordinate tentpole affiliate events, such as Amazon Prime Day, Way Day and Black Friday 

Qualifications and Experience: 

• At least 5 years' experience in an editorial role writing/editing commerce content
• Proficiency working with Content Management Systems, affiliate networks (such as Skimlinks and Amazon Associates), and email newsletter systems, such as Mailchimp or Sailthru
• Knack for product discovery and curation
• Ability to work as a team player, pivoting as needed to meet our collective affiliate and traffic goals
• Management experience preferred

In 3 Months You Will...

• Be proficient in our internal CMS system, email system and our editorial workflow, from pitching stories to making final edits
• Be proficient at writing and editing across a variety of verticals in the PureWow voice
• Be proficient at curating products for our email shoppers
• Collaborate with the editorial and growth teams to produce high-quality articles in a timely manner
