As the Sales Commission Analyst, you will support the end-to-end sales commission administration for our fast-paced, high-growth sales organization. You will work cross-functionality to ensure sales commissions, SPIFFs, and other variable incentives are accurate, complete, and paid on time. You are someone who surrounds themselves with data and loves digging into processes and technology to understand where improvements can be made. You are a natural leader who is looking for an organization they can dive into head first, taking the initiative to make an impact wherever they can!

What you’ll do:

  • Manage the end-to-end sales process to design, document, approve, implement, and monitor sales incentive plans.
  • Validate and process accurate, timely, and reliable data for quota attainment, commission earnings, and accruals for all sales commissions, SPIFFs, and other variable compensation.
  • Own the sales incentive process, identifying issues before they become a problem.
  • Prepare and distribute commission statements to the sales team.
  • Provide exceptional support and resolve commission inquiries from sales and sales management.
  • Identify and execute on opportunities to scale commissions processes and partner cross-functionally to drive projects to completion.
  • Model and recommend new sales programs, KPIs, and SPIFFs to drive the right behaviors in the field.
  • Create and distribute sales performance reports, dashboards, and presentations to management and staff.
  • Assist with capacity planning to promote efficiency and growth within the organization.
  • Build and maintain standard operating procedures and governance activities for sales compensation.
  • Review and reconcile data within sales data systems to ensure ongoing accuracy.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on compensation structure to the sales organization.

About you:

  • 4+ years progressive work experience in accounting, financial reporting, or sales operations.
  • Experience in end-to-end sales commission administration, ideally using a sales commission system such as Xactly or Spiff.
  • Post-secondary education in business, accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong technical skills (including Excel and SQL) with the ability to automate and and improve processes.
  • Meticulous communication, organization, detail orientation, and task-driven nature.
  • Natural curiosity, proactive mindset, and the tenacity to challenge the status quo.
  • Enthusiasm to learn a new, complex domain and the humility to ask for help when needed.
  • Team player, willingness to step in for team members that need help, demonstrating positive communication, collaboration, and feedback.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in high-velocity, B2B SaaS sales and/or revenue operations.
  • An understanding of revenue metrics across Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success.
