- 50% of clients who initially report suicidal ideation no longer harbor suicidal thoughts after treatment with Cerebral.

The Role:
As senior manager of internal communications, your duties are to:
- Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with Senior Director of Communications and senior leadership
- Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
- Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, including email, video and Slack
- Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form
- Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
- Partner closely with external communications to ensure message alignment
- Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
- Oversee internal communication response to crisis situations that affect organizational perception and reputation
- Advise senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face to face or through regular written communication
Who you are:
You’re an elegant writer who can shift seamlessly between a holiday video script and an organizational announcement, and make both compelling. You have a genuine passion for motivating employees and helping them to feel connected both to the company and to one another. You see internal communications as the “glue” of an organization. You are relentlessly discreet with confidential information, and are able to translate complex business strategy into easily-accessible employee messaging. You are able to work well within a small, agile team, and with minimal supervision. You have a great sense of humor and the confidence to accept constructive criticism. Most importantly, you have a connection to our mission, and feel passionately about making mental health care accessible for those who need it most.
Education and Experience RequirementsÂ
- 10+ years of experience
- A BA in journalism, communications, public relations or marketing
- Prior internal communications experience
- Experience writing for a variety of audiencesÂ
- Prior management of complex projects
Skill Requirements and PreferencesÂ
- Writing skills: You need excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.
- Interpersonal skills: Interpersonal and relationship-building skills in order to work with communications and departments across the organization. Prior experience working with senior executives and ability to explain communication techniques to them.
- Creative skills: You need the creative ability to devise communication strategies Digital skills: Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential. Graphics and video production/scripting experience are definite pluses.
- Flexibility and comfort with ambiguity: We move fast here at Cerebral. The successful candidate must be able to pick up projects and run with them, and be comfortable with shifting priorities in stride with business needs and strategy.
