As the Senior Communications Manager at Group14 Technologies based in Seattle and reporting to the Director of Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our global communication strategies. This position is a key addition to our expanding department, presenting an exceptional opportunity to elevate Group14's visibility on the international stage significantly. In this dynamic role, your primary focus will be on cultivating relationships with top-tier media outlets worldwide, securing positive and impactful news coverage, and crafting compelling corporate communications materials. Your contributions will shape the narrative of our industry, influence how our brand is perceived, and contribute to the ongoing success of Group14.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
-Support strategic communication plans that move Group14's mission, business, and external relations goals worldwide.
-Forge and nurture strategic partnerships with key media entities globally, cultivating relationships that help position Group14 as a leader in the industry.
-Devise and implement effective strategies to secure positive and influential news coverage, driving brand recognition, and enhancing Group14's reputation on a global scale.
-Monitor the effectiveness of corporate communication strategies, suggesting adaptations as needed.
-Partner with stakeholders to create and drive global communications campaigns, projects, and domestic and international programs.
-Work cross-functionally with stakeholders across marketing, product, and business development as a strategic communications expert.
-Keep updated with industry trends to keep Group14 communications fresh, timely, and bold.
-Coordinate external relations strategies and manage an editorial calendar, ensuring consistent and impactful narratives.
-Develop compelling content, including messaging, blog posts, imagery, email, social, and web material.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
-Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
-8+ years of experience in corporate communications and media relations.
-Stellar written and verbal communication skills.
-Experience in developing and executing communication strategies.
-Effective project management and time management skills.
-Able to create presentations, reports, and other information for internal use.
-Experience working closely with agency partners and contractors worldwide to build localized strategies, campaigns, and other corporate communications programs.
-Ability to identify a story and/or a new audience and appropriately develop and adapt communications objectives and materials.
-Media savvy: a deep understanding of what stories will, and will not, resonate with the media.
OTHER QUALITIES WE'D LOVE FOR YOU TO HAVE:
-Experience in technology or clean energy industries.
-Interest in mobility, sustainability, and the future of energy are pluses.
-Exposure to working within or with multinational corporations and experience in a dynamic startup are also pluses.
-Communications agency experience a plus.
-Experience in supporting public affairs programs and campaigns is beneficial.
-Strong attention to detail and a commitment to own work products end-to-end - able to serve as an individual contributor and project team member.
-Mature flexibility to manage changes in direction and priority shifts.

The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $140,000. All positions come with a company bonus and stock options. The actual base pay offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, the applicant's qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the position is located.
