Senior Compensation Analyst
We have an opportunity for a Senior Compensation Analyst to join our dynamic Human Capital (HC) Team at Techstars. Reporting to the Head of Global Total Rewards, the Sr. Compensation Analyst will work closely with our high-performing HC team, including Human Capital Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Human Capital Operations and our Chief Human Capital Officer.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Compensation Planning and Administration:
- Independently design compensation processes and manage programs from ideation to completion in partnership with the Head of Total Rewards and the Chief Human Capital Officer.
- Support development of processes, procedures, and documentation that improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and reliability of our compensation team.
- Program manage and deliver a variety of global compensation projects including key design changes, complex modeling and analyses, budgeting, and implementation of new programs.
- Stay abreast of global, federal, and state employment law updates pertaining to compensation compliance.
- Support the management and design of our Human Capital Management System or HRIS (UKG) modules as it relates to compensation.
Market & Internal Compensation Analysis:
- Leverage strong qualitative and analytical skills, including manipulating data, querying, and reporting with the ability to analyze and research data leveraging Excel and GoogleSheets.
- Analyze internal and market data including base compensation, bonus, variable commission, equity and carry to deliver recommendations that will attract and retain top talent.
- Evaluate market and economic trends and present appropriate recommendations or business cases for change.
Executive and Organizational Support:
- Translate compensation data and complex findings to executive, senior leaders and non-quantitative audiences through data visualizations.
- Make use of market survey data and job classification principles and practices to support the Head of Total Rewards and Operations to develop innovative and creative strategies to attract and retain talent.
- Collaborate with HCBP’s and Talent Acquisition to support our business goals and ensure market competitiveness while acting as a trusted advisor to provide effective recommendations, creative solutions, and compensation expertise.
Building Compensations Best Practices:
- Design and manage the job evaluation process for the firm and support requests for new or revised roles to determine appropriate salary level assignments aligned with the job architecture.
- Deliver annual compensation processes as part of the performance management cycle in partnership with other members of the HC team.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in Compensation; must have 3+ years experience in advanced modeling and data analysis that includes synthesis, visualization and presentation of the data.
- Fluent in human capital system design and management with experience with UKG, Pave, Radford, Carta, Greenhouse and/or other compensation surveys, systems, and tools.
- Bachelor Degree in human resources, statistics, economics, finance or other quantitative fields. Masters Degree preferred.
Compensation: $115,000 - $135,000 with 10% bonus
