What You’ll Do: Â
- This role reports to the Chief Legal Officer
- Role is expected to serve as Group’s DPO and as a member of the Global Legal Team and manage other direct reports
- Experience leading and scaling privacy teams and privacy programs, including internal policies, data lifecycle, and employee training
- Negotiate and draft contracts relating to processing personal data
- Draft and negotiate various commercial agreements
- Identify potential areas of compliance and privacy risks and anticipate legal and regulatory changes.
- Buildout and develop compliance processes
- Oversee Data Subject Rights response process
- Support, conduct and manage data mapping, impact assessments and transfer impact assessments
- Network with business teams to provide counsel on compliance with privacy laws
- Conduct vendor risk assessments and reviews
- Develop templates and procedures
- Design training materials
- Lead breach incident investigations
- Lead the Group’s compliance with industry certifications and memberships
- Support the group’s advertising and publisher vetting/compliance processes
What will I bring?
- 5+ years experience in general legal practice with an emphasis on compliance, privacy laws, regulations and standard methodologies;
- Law Degree and bar license required; CIPP-US and EU certification a plus
- Experience in contract drafting and negotiation in a technology environment
- Strong networking and interpersonal communication and persuasion skills
- Ability to work in a complex, highly collaborative, geographically dispersed team environment
- Interest in advertising technology a plus

In support of pay transparency and equity, the minimum and maximum full-time annual base salary for this role in New York is $160,000 - $175,000 at the time of posting, with the potential of an incentive or bonus.  While this is our reasonable expectation this is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, actual compensation is influenced by a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, education, certifications, responsibility, and geographic location.  Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. We offer a variety of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability insurance, 401(k), EAP, parental leave, unlimited vacation, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available will vary depending on the state, start date, and employment type.
