Senior Compliance Officer

As Melio’s Senior Compliance Officer you will work directly with the Chief Compliance Officer to build and enhance Melio’s compliance risk management infrastructure. While your primary focus will be on AML, you will also assist with the oversight and development of other compliance risk management controls.  

How You’ll Make An Impact:

• In partnership with the Product and Risk teams, designing and building a fully compliant  AML program that is appropriate given Melio’s product offerings and the customers it serves 
• Serving as the company’s AML Officer and representing the company in its dealings with our money transmission licensing authorities
• Designing and assisting with building other appropriate compliance infrastructure to support Melio’s growth to scale  
• Drafting and implementing policies & procedures as necessary
• Overseeing the design and implementation of training and control testing
• Managing incoming and outgoing compliance-related diligence requests in connection with partnerships and vendor relationships
• Managing responses to subpoenas and compliance-related legal process

What We’d Love To See:

• Experience in a senior AML role in a regulated financial services company - preferably in the MTL context
• Familiarity with B2B payments and credit card programs
• Experience building programs including writing policies and procedures 
• Expertise in AML and sanctions regulatory requirements and experience in dealing with supervisors - preferably in the context of MTL licenses  
• Experience working in a fast paced start up / scale up environment
• Proven experience building and managing high performing teams
• Experience working with internationally based teams

• Base compensation range is $204,000 - $240,000 plus equity
