Senior Compliance Testing Analyst

The Senior Compliance Testing Analyst is responsible for planning and performing targeted reviews to monitor Exeter’s compliance with state and federal laws, rules and regulations under the direction of the Compliance Testing Director. This position will also be responsible for completing post validation reviews of closed issues to ensure remediation steps have been properly implemented by the business to mitigate risks and exposure identified by Compliance Testing. Participating in the drafting of the Compliance Testing report, summarizing the findings, exceptions and observations for the review types mentioned above is also an integral responsibility of the Compliance Testing Manager.

Job Duties

• Working independently, plans, coordinates, and conducts targeted Compliance Testing and Post Validation reviews of operational areas to ensure compliance with state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

• Leads the effort in the completion of high-quality Compliance Testing reports and memos to communicate compliance related findings to operational stakeholders and senior management.

• Coordinates and leads the discussion with operational areas and management to communicate testing findings and to determine appropriate corrective action.

• Maintains current knowledge of laws and regulations, keeping abreast of recent changes, and acts as a subject matter expert for the applicability of the regulatory requirements to auto finance operational processes.

• Plans and accomplishes testing goals.

Education and Experience

• College degree or equivalent work experience.

• Six (6) plus years related experience in a compliance monitoring/testing or audit role in the consumer finance industry, preferably in auto finance. 

• Experience working in a testing, audit or quality assurance environment, preferably familiar with auto lending and/or financial services industries. 

• Ability to interpret regulations and assess operational Compliance.

• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and strong working knowledge of all current enterprise technologies is preferred.

• Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.

• Detail-oriented with ability to perform a variety of tasks.

• Good written and verbal communication skills. 

• Self-starter with positive attitude.
