What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years professional experience
- Experience with the development of an annual strategic business plan
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to positively influence outcomes and work across functions and levels of seniority; ability to create impactful relationships; team player that thrives on cross-functional collaborations
- Highly organized, excellent project management abilities
- Experience with the creation and delivery of presentations, particularly to executive audiences
We'd Love to See:
- A strong foundational understanding of TransUnion's capabilities and insurance OR a quick learner with proven abilities to understand the state of an industry, major trends, customer challenges, and how TransUnion adds value in the context of our customers' priorities
- Competitive intelligence analysis and reporting to strengthen decision-making
- Analytical skillset, including familiarity with Excel, Salesforce.com, pipeline reporting and analysis, and pricing
- Proven innovator and problem-solver; intellectual curiosity and strong problem solving skills
- Comfort in dealing with ambiguity and driving robust business decision recommendations supported by sometimes limited information
Impact You'll Make:
The mission of the Insurance Strategy and Planning Team is to better position our Vertical to achieve our strategic goals and facilitate strong revenue growth. Said another way, we aim to better define our strategic priorities in order to generate the most value from every dollar we invest.
The Strategy and Planning Senior Consultant reports directly to the Strategy and Planning Senior Director and supports the development of our growth strategy and its transformation from a static document to a living, breathing doctrine by which we assess and guide our choices across business functions. The Senior Consultant also drives innovation by identifying or designing, measuring, and analyzing new concepts and processes which may fuel future growth through consultation with Vertical stakeholders. The team values an entrepreneurial spirit, a proactive intellectual curiosity, the flexibility to move between projects that fluctuate in priority, a thirst for learning and an ability to think outside the box. Specifically, you will:
- Support the development of the TransUnion Insurance growth strategy and plan; measure our progress along the way and create a culture of accountability
- Lead the annual planning process by designing and executing an approach which addresses all aspects of our business in collaboration with the appropriate stakeholders
- Identify the priorities we must execute in order to achieve our financial goals and proactively identify new opportunities and risks to planned revenue
- Foster a culture where associates across multiple disciplines (Sales, Market Planning, Solutions, Data Science, B2B Marketing, etc.) fully embrace the plan and have the opportunity to contribute
- Be a student of the industry, staying current on publications and news related to insurance to allow for successful strategic planning, innovation and growth development
- Conduct research by collecting and analyzing data to better understand the organization, industry, competitive landscape, and customer base
- Identify potential micro strategies and business growth opportunities; create project deliverables including concept proposals, strategy presentations, project plans, pricing frameworks, marketing and positioning strategies, business cases and financial models
