Senior Consultant - Market Access

This exciting role sits within the Ascenian business, a Clinigen Company and is a global research and consulting partnership that helps life sciences companies worldwide to develop, capture, and communicate the clinical and economic evidence required to demonstrate the value of new treatments to health technology assessment (HTA) agencies and payers. Our services leverage a combination of capabilities in clinical knowledge, HTA and payer process and methodology, business and strategy, price and reimbursement and health economics and real-world evidence.
To support our growth, we are looking for an experienced, driven and people-centric Senior Consultant for our Payer Strategy team in Europe. You will be expected to be a key implementer on all phases of project delivery, including involvement in proposal writing, developing discussion guides, undertaking qualitative interviews, analysis of results and presenting final results. Typically, a project will have leadership from a senior member of staff, project management from a senior consultant and support from junior members (e.g. Consultant & Business Analyst). Business development will be a component of the position and you will be expected to directly business develop $0.5m in revenue from follow up projects and new project clients. Please note due to client and internal requirements this role will operate remotely but applicants must reside within the European time zone.
As our newly appointed Senior Consultant you will initially support the project director and take a lead role in the overseeing of project management activity. Once you have garnered a clear understanding of the Ascenian business model and framework you will take full responsibility for projects within a relatively short period of time. We expect your skills and experience will enable you to effectively liaise and discuss with the rest of the team and client teams ensuring your knowledge and experience is shared effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and agree the appropriate process and methodology for the project in hand with the Project Director and, where appropriate, other members of the Ascenian team
- Develop and agree project and analysis plans
- Feedback to Project Director and suggest business development potentials
Undertake the execution of the project, including the following tasks:
- Project Management
- Managing the project team as appropriate
- Client liaison
- Qualitative research
- Analysis of research findings
- Development of results presentation and recommendations
- Presentation of results
- Client feedback
- Secure follow up projects and conduct business development to secure new projects to the value of $0.5m.
- Masters or PhD within a relevant discipline (economics, health policy, science)
- Very strong pricing, reimbursement and market access experience either in consultancy or industry with a minimum of 5-7 years experience.
- Experience in Business Development
- Genuine interest and curiosity in pricing and reimbursement
- Personable, realistic, willing, open, team-worker and flexible
- Well organised and able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
- Enthusiastic to learn and motivated to take opportunities to develop
- Comfortable to work on a remote basis.
