Senior Consultant - Senior Appian Developer

Job Description:

The U.S. Forest Service (FS) seeks a Senior Appian Developer for Operations and Maintenance (O&M) of deployed applications, agile development of new applications, and modernization of legacy applications using both custom and low-code approaches.

Duties/ Responsibilities

• Work with IT stakeholders and customers to convert complex business needs into functioning pieces of application within Appian.
• Configure Appian’s Government Acquisition Management Suite in accordance with business requirements.
• Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain Appian applications for the FS.
• Assist in the design and implementation of data models based on customer application requirements, support translation of data model into Appian objects.
• Contribute to hands-on development and support; provide product and sprint demos as needed.
• Provide expertise in multiple related technologies including Structured Query Language and Appian Complex Data Type configurations.
• Understand how Appian can integrate with other third-party technologies; provide recommendations and implementation support.
• Design and implement web APIs.
• Perform frequent code reviews and ensure quality of the overall delivery.
• Provide guidance to junior developers within the team.
• Must have strong communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders.
• Maintain appropriate certifications, if necessary

Required Skills

• 5+ years of Appian project delivery experience
• 3+ years of experience working in an agile environment
• Strong experience in integrating Appian with various third-party systems and data sources
• Proven track record in designing efficient and scalable business processes within Appian. Your expertise should extend to optimizing workflows for maximum productivity.
• Excellent knowledge of Appian SAIL, UI design, defining custom data types, process model design, MySQL
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• US Citizenship

Education and Experience:

• 7+ years of development experience
• Bachelor of Science in IT, Software Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

Nice To Have:

• Appian Senior Developer Certification or Appian Lead Developer Certification (Appian Level 1 or Level 2 Certified)
• Experience with the Government Acquisition Management Suite

• $130k-$150k The salary range offered is an estimate made in good faith, intended to encompass various experience levels.
