Role Description and Mission :
Recruits, researches, screens, interviews, and refers job candidates for job openings as well as manages the recruiting efforts of the local recruiting team . Utilizes established network of contacts and coordinates with advertising agency to help identify new candidates. Communicates and coordinates with candidates and hiring manager to ensure smooth operation of the interview process. Documents statistics to be analyzed for identiying and reporting trends and developing best practices within the function.
Key Outcomes :
  • Confers with management and supervisors to identify personnel needs, job specifications, job duties, qualifications, and skills.
  • In partnership with head of talent acquisition, develops regional sourcing strategies and leads in their implementation.
  • Manages/coordinates the efforts of the local recruiting which includes prioritizing daily focus, communicates performance versus goals and provides supporting coaching and feedback
  • Initiates contact with possibly qualified candidates for specific job openings.
  • Reviews applications and interviews applicants to obtain work history, education, training, job skills, and salary requirements, and to provide information about the organization and position.
  • Screens and refers candidates for additional interviews with others in organization.
  • Participates in the development of recruitment programs, budgets, and collateral, such as brochures about the organization and its opportunities.
  • Coordinates with the advertising agency to write and place job advertising in various media.
  • Accepts internal job posting requests and communicates job openings for internal and web posting.
  • Coordinates participation in, sets up display, and works at job fairs.
  • Maintains contacts with schools, alumni groups, and other public organizations to find and attract applicants.
  • Makes public presentations at schools, organizations, and job fairs regarding the organization and opportunities.
  • Works with external recruiters and employment agencies to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Utilizes Internet online recruiting sources to identify and recruit candidates.
  • Arranges travel and lodging for out-of-town applicants.

EDUCATION: College Degree or equivalent work experience
EXPERIENCE: 2-4 years related experience in the human resources field. Familiarity and working knowledge of employment laws. Prior experience managing the work of more junior associates.
SKILLS: Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Possesses good judgement and ability to gather information and make decisions based on that information.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Daily interaction with both internal (hiring managers) and external (candidates) clients.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Additional hours may be needed. Represents CCAS to the public at job, college fairs as needed.
