Design plays an integral role in Duo's mission to democratize security. Our Product Design, Design Research, and Design Enablement teams work alongside our engineering and product peers. As a Senior Content Designer on the Design Platform team, you'll be instrumental in elevating the quality of experience across the Duo product portfolio. You'll help evolve the Duo design platform and ensure it's cohesive with the rest of the Cisco Secure product portfolio. You'll embed alongside Product Designers and engineers to shape the user experience through language, components, and interaction patterns. And you'll work closely with the rest of the Design Enablement team to create tools and processes that enable our designers and engineers to do their best work.
What you'll do...

• Understand our customers and users: use product research and usability testing results to inform copy decisions.
• Lead with vision: conduct audits of existing product language to spot gaps and opportunities for immediate impact while also building a vision of the future.
• Exercise systems thinking: write in-product messaging, interface copy, and usage guidelines to be used by multi-functional product teams, and keep all the information tidy.
• Build strong foundations: maintain and help evolve content standards, methodologies, guidelines, principles, and taxonomies for various audiences and initiatives. Coach and mentor team members in Product Design and Design Enablement in systems thinking, tools of the trade, and any other areas of expertise that make sense!
• Design for everyone: ensure that our products are usable and accessible for ALL people.

Who You Are..
To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate strong experience in:

• Working with SaaS product development teams to enable designer and developer handoffs and design system adoption.
• Strong editing skills and a love of communication.
• Good eye for and understanding of product design methodologies.
• Examples of writing for complex web applications in plain language.
• Expertise in content strategy, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Working knowledge of Figma or other design and prototyping software.
• Working as part of multi-functional design and product teams.
• Documenting content guidelines and specifications with clarity and brevity, providing just enough information.
• Interpreting and incorporating accessibility standards.
• Using prioritization methods, frameworks to create plans and assess impact.
• Moving between big picture planning and detailed, precise execution work.
• Communicating for action, managing input, and feedback.
