Job Description

Reporting to the Global Marketing and Communications Director in London, the Senior Content Manager will oversee the content strategy and develop creative content solutions to support marketing efforts that boost brand awareness, increase market share and drive qualified leads for sales.

As the leader of our content function, you will work closely across business units and with internal thought-leaders to establish industry leadership, enhance our online presence and captivate our target audience.

This collaborative leader should possess outstanding content creation and strategy skills and understand how to motivate a team to produce exceptional written work to drive lead generation and brand awareness. They should have experience in aligning marketing campaign strategies and sales enablement tactics to meet our wider commercial goals.

The right candidate should be able to plan a longer-term content strategy but react nimbly as new opportunities arise, whilst also leveraging data to drive decisions.

Key responsibilities

  • With the Head of Marketing, develop, execute, measure and optimize a global top of the funnel content strategy that is built to deliver business results
  • Lead of team of 2, with shared reporting for another 2 content executives in APAC
  • Develop strong relationships with key thought leaders, industry analysts and sales enablement executives to build content that connects with our target audience
  • Own and manage the global content marketing calendar to align with business objectives
  • Build a strong campaign strategy and mentor your team on best practices and testing/optimisation techniques to improve performance of programs and tactics
  • Orchestrate all content activation initiatives, partnering with Product, Events, Digital, Research and Sales teams to deliver content
  • Create a culture of positivity and learning, developing and growing the team members capabilities and careers
  • Partner with Head of Marketing to develop rollout plans for key content pieces to increase internal awareness and external promotion
  • Partner with Head of Digital to optimise online and social strategy in support of content plans
  • Report on the success of campaigns to measure against global marketing goals
  • Partner with the Head of Events to advise on regional content marketing strategies
  • With the Head of Marketing Delivery, establish performance goals using a data-based approach to content optimisation and planning
  • Recommend, gain alignment to and effectively manage the annual content marketing budget

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in developing and delivering content and marketing campaigns with proven results
  • Proven ability to lead a team and develop a content marketing plan within a B2B landscape
  • Bachelor's degree or higher-level degree
  • Experience working cross-functionally with product, digital, media and event marketing teams
  • Highly adaptable and always looking for opportunities to engage with our audience to balance both evergreen content and timely content
  • Excellent project management skills with experience managing stakeholders across departments and success in aligning strategies
  • Ability to map content to the buyer's journey
  • Deep knowledge of SEO strategies and tactics
  • Excellent written English and a keen eye for editing
  • Experience with marketing tools like Marketo, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Moz, etc.
  • Flexible work hours given our headquarters are in London with offices across the world
