We are looking for a Senior Content Marketing Manager to help tell Optera’s story, by leading a content program that builds brand awareness and thought leadership across our industry and target market. The role and responsibilities
- Lead the development of Optera’s editorial strategy and content calendar to drive brand awareness, thought leadership, website traffic, and qualified sales leads
- Produce and maintain engaging marketing content and programs, including whitepapers, blog posts, webinars, videos, and case studies
- Monitor and optimize for KPIs related to content engagement, SEO, and conversion
- Build strong relationships with internal and external subject matter experts to understand our target audience and inform Optera’s thought leadership in the market
- Manage budget and relationship with external PR agency and other agencies/freelancers for content creation as needed
- Stay up-to-date on best practices and share new ideas for how to tell Optera’s brand story and reach its target audience
- As an early member of the growing Marketing team, help shape the direction of the marketing function and team at Optera
Your qualities
- Excellent communicator (written and verbal), with proven ability to tell compelling and clear stories about technical or complex topics
- Organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to independently manage a wide range of varied projects at once
- Self-directed and excited to build and manage new programs from scratch
- Curious and motivated to quickly learn and develop new subject matter expertise and skills
- Committed to upholding strong values and principles in the workplace, and maintaining a supportive, collaborative, and fun work environment
- Interest in sustainability and being part of the climate change solution
Your qualifications
- Multiple years of experience in content marketing, both producing content and setting strategy
- Prior experience adopting a brand voice and bringing it to life across multiple mediums
- Strong knowledge of SEO best practices
- Experience reporting on the impact of content marketing efforts and interpreting data to inform decisions
Nice to have
- Experience writing for an enterprise business audience
- Experience marketing software/SaaS products
- Prior experience in a small, growing marketing team or high-growth startup
- In-depth knowledge of Wordpress, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Hubspot, and Google Search Console
- Graphic design and video editing experience
- Prior experience in environmental or adjacent industries

Location: Remote (US and Canada) with optional office in Boulder, Colorado
Position: Full-time
Base Salary: $115,000 - $130,000 USD ($140,000 - $170,000 CAD) plus bonus and option of equityÂ
