Senior Content Marketing Manager Location
Hybrid - San Diego, CA
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced content marketing leader to join our marketing team and help drive our integrated market strategy. As a Sr. Content Marketing Manager, you'll be responsible for creating impactful stories and content that connects our messaging and positioning with demand generation.
Your primary goal will be to strategically leverage cornerstone thought leadership to drive relevant handraisers (MQLs and Pipeline) to maximize acquisition and retention. You’ll also work closely with the growth and product marketing teams to optimize content topics and production to improve the SEO ranking of the website.
You will work with a team of passionate marketers who are focused on delivering an exceptional experience for customers and strong results for our business in a high-performing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Define and execute content strategy and roadmap
- Establish a deep understanding of our industry and personas to map content that speaks to the opportunities they are looking for.
- Manage and develop thought leadership content that operates around a centralized message and is used for integrated marketing campaigns
- Establish an understanding of our audience segmentation and align it with the content roadmap
- Interview customers to learn first-hand how they use our products and leverage the learnings in content
- Drive growth, website ranking, and search visibility through digesting performance metrics and optimizing content for web and SEO efforts
- Recommend changes to website architecture, linking, and other factors to improve ranking for target keywords
- Own end-to-end content production, from ideation and development to editing and execution
- Manage 3rd party freelance writers and/or content agency
- Collaborate with Customer Success, Sales, and Product teams on content marketing initiatives that drive traffic, engagement, conversion, and retention
- Perform ongoing keyword discovery, expansion, and optimization
- Test and optimize meta descriptions, page titles, internal links, structured data markup and more
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Content marketing
- Experience building large scale content plans for series D level companies
- Ability to operate independently and quickly
- Experience leveraging A.I. tools to scale content efficiently
- Experience working in a fast-growing tech start-up environment
- Expert in keyword research tool like Ahrefs/Moz, SEMRush, crawling/auditing tools, and search engine webmaster tools including Google Search Console and Google Analytics
- Ability to effectively communicate content strategy - proven experience in developing content frameworks, and product narratives.
Economic Package Includes:
- Salary $120,000—$135,000 USD
