What will I be doing?
The Senior Content Marketing Manager is an influencer who develops stories, creative content and brand messaging that informs, attracts and generates customer acquisition. You will bring your experience of successful content marketing campaigns and strategies to lead our go-to-market efforts. You’ll also be the creative source powering compelling conversations through multiple channels to various industry audiences. This role will take ownership of projects that stem from sizeable company initiatives, providing you the ability to make a large impact on the brand and flex your leadership skills. You will work in partnership with the growth marketing team as we regularly launch targeted campaigns and begin working with new channels and markets. You will report to the Director of Growth Marketing and work (flexibly) from our headquarters in Bellevue, WA.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Produce and promote creative content that informs, attracts, and generates customer acquisition.
- Map out a content strategy that supports the larger go-to-market strategy, determining which methods work for the brand and why. Continuous evolvement of this strategy is a must.
- Serve as the brand ambassador and lead art direction and visual storytelling for the content team.
- Build, implement and constantly iterate on an SEO strategy.
- Collaborate with executive level team members to ultimately drive brand advancement initiatives.
- Produce high-quality content pieces that effectively reach, speak to, and engage our target audiences.
- Lead content marketing initiatives end-to-end, and oversee goals, metrics, and people management.
- Measure and optimize the effectiveness of our content by developing KPIs and monthly reporting.
- Lead the team in delivering SEO and social media initiatives that drive user engagement of our marketplace offerings.
- Work with the growth marketing team to monitor and optimize performance of campaigns and brand messaging.
What skills are needed?
- 8+ years of experience working in multichannel content creation in the B2B space
- 5+ years of leading successful content marketing team(s) including creative work and/or agencies
- Solid understanding of design, copy and web practices
- Proven experience creating content strategies tied directly to demand generation
- Customer-centric mentality, ability to understand the customer’s needs and challenges and translate them into compelling content
- Strategic thinker: challenge conventional wisdom and are eager to reinvent modern marketing tactics
- Excellent design, copy writing, and presentation skills
- Solid knowledge of SEO and keyword research
- High level of interpersonal skills and comfort with ambiguity
- High sense of urgency
