The Role 

As the Senior Content Strategist, reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Marketing, you will work to develop a variety of content across multiple mediums and channels, including: website, blog, social media, email, webinars, video, and other digital assets. Responsibilities include overseeing a team of content writers to pitch and produce content, researching and developing creative content, and producing presentations and materials for consumption.

 

What You Will Do

  • Establish an insight driven framework for how content can support moving buyers along a journey, develop a content strategy that leverages that framework with consideration for various personas and segments..
  • Develop a deep understanding of the relevant personas and industry audiences and write, edit and/or direct content to successfully engage those personas.
  • Conduct regular research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer insights, competitive landscape, and industry influencers to identify 1st and 3rd party content opportunities.
  • Work cross-functionally with thought leaders, subject matter experts and the global GTM function to define areas of focus and key topics. 
  • Work closely with the Demand Generation team to ensure strong cross-pollination and support.
  • Manage the editorial calendar and content plan that provides visibility and content governance for major content gateways such as company blog, resource center, and demand generation channels.
  • Support the development of a customer stories roadmap that brings the voice of our customers into marketing initiatives and aligns to business goals and priorities.
  • Collaborate with internal and external resources to create engaging and impactful content for various channels such as website, blog, social media, email, webinars, video, presentations, and other digital assets.
  • Integrate content into sales plays and understand how content can support the key activities for sales generated pipeline.
  • Provide POVs on content marketing best practices for how content can be leveraged across multiple channels in multiple forms, improving the efficiency of content investment and the consistency and quality of customer experience.
  • Create and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of content marketing initiatives and optimize the strategy accordingly; regularly report on content marketing performance.
  • Engage deeply on business/funnel metrics and proactively identifying how content can impact the business both near term and long term; engage in problem solving discussions on business performance.
  • Lead a growing team of in-house content writers and creators.
  • Own relationships and manage external content partners.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 15+ years of experience developing and executing successful content marketing strategies for small and medium market segments that drive business results.
  • Proven track record of mentoring and coaching content teams at other fast-growing B2B technology companies.
  • Experience developing content and supporting marketing programs for customers.
  • Self-motivated, big picture thinker and problem-solver with a balance of strategic thinking and creativity.
  • Strong storyteller, writer, and editor with the ability to create and repackage content that is compelling, engaging and resonates with target audiences.
  • Excellent writing skills with an ability to develop content that incorporates our brand voice and product messaging.
  • Strong knowledge and thorough understanding of the principles of product marketing, advertising, promotional and digital content.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with SEO agencies and incorporating SEO requirements into copy.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to measure content performance metrics, extract meaning and present recommended actions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction while also functioning and contributing as part of a team.
  • A proven track record building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional partners, executives, thought-leaders, and subject matter experts across multiple teams.
  • Experience leading teams and managing external agencies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is: $123,500 - $167,000. You may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.


Location

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
