Job Description
As a Senior Content Writer, you will create long and short-form content that shares the SmartRent story, promotes our brand, and makes a positive impact across many different digital platforms. You will report to our Sr. Manager, Managing Editor within our marketing department.
Responsibilities
- Craft effective, compelling content for websites, blogs, email campaigns, case studies, white papers, e-books, paid advertising, social media, video, print materials, and more
- Create high-quality educational thought leadership content for the SmartRent brand
- Manage copy deliverables and meet deadlines with minimal oversight
- Take ownership of projects and engage in proactive problem solving
- Assist in coaching the team by mentoring other content specialists
- Work and communicate cross functionally with design, digital marketing, demand generation, product marketing, and fellow content team members to produce high-quality content that aligns with company goals
- Deliver content that drives leads through the sales funnel
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a professional writer
- Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism or related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Strong attention to detail and razor-sharp editorial and grammatical skills
- Must have basic knowledge of SEO rules and principles
- Must be familiar with writing in accordance with the AP Style Guide
- Ability to meet deadlines and work independently
- Ability to respectfully and professionally provide and offer constructive feedback
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude and have a desire to collaborate with others
- Must be able to provide writing samples of previous work
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
- Experience developing content for webinars and/or podcasts
- Experience using Hubspot, Marketo, Pardot or similar marketing automation platform
- Experience uploading content into a CMS platform (Sanity, Wordpress, Drupal or similar)
- Previous experience in the multifamily or real estate industry
Note: This is a hybrid position with 4 days in-office at our Scottsdale, AZ headquarters
