Quick Position Overview:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in contracts administration, negotiation and/or business operations
  • This position is on-site in Washington DC, as needed

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or additional years of experience in lieu of a degree may be considered)
  • Solid working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), MAS Schedules, SBA Programs of 8(a), HuBZone, Mentor Protege and Joint Ventures, related federal and state legislation and regulations.

The Role

Simple Technology Solutions’ Senior Contracts Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of managing contract administration, contract negotiations, as well as pricing proposals while supporting a growing and dynamic group with a broad client base in the Federal Government IT Sector. They will ensure that compliance is maintained for contracts, vendors and operations of STS. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, a keen eye for detail, be flexible, and willing to think “outside the box” in a fast-paced environment. The Senior Contracts Administrator is a self-motivated, team player ready to embrace any obstacles and take them as learning opportunities.

Does that sound like you? As the Senior Contracts Administrator at STS, you will:

  • Perform contract management and related administrative duties for STS and 3 Joint Ventures including maintaining and organizing contract documents; supporting proposal review and preparation; completing contract awards and modifications; interfacing with Government, Prime contracting agents, and Subcontractors.
  • Maintain compliance with SAM, SBA, FAR, ISO and other federal, state and associated compliance regulations.
  • Support data calls, maintain compliance with governmental requirements, as well as agency audit requirements on an ongoing basis.
  • Provide oversight and resolve contractual issues that may arise in performance of the contract, with a focus on mitigating STS’ risk while meeting the customer’s needs.
  • Support delivery/task order execution through Contract Modifications, Program Control, Invoice Reviews, and Closeouts
  • Identify to stakeholders contractual and/or RFP terms that pose risk to the company and resolve/implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Review and prepare responses to solicitations, Contractual documentation, Requests for Information, Quotes, Proposals, Market Surveys, and business/price proposal volumes.
  • Negotiate Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) and work with BD to finalize negotiations of Teaming Agreements (TAs).
  • Monitor and participate in Compliance activities for STS and 3 Joint Ventures
  • Monitor and evaluate changing federal contract requirements, and industry trends and apply to contracts.
  • Provide guidance and advice to Program Managers and business leads to ensure contractual compliance of programs. Educate PMs on different contract types and applicable laws and regulations associated with each type. Review contract and internal deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
  • Advise on contract revisions to better meet the needs of the Client and STS.
  • Handle multiple priority tasks and proposals effectively
  • Develop working relationships with both internal and external customers; participate in customer meetings.

Our Next Senior Contracts Administrator Will Be Required to Have:

  • 5+ years of hands-on, everyday position-related experience within the last 7 years
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to collaboratively work with internal customers.
  • Ability to build collaborative business relationships both internal to the company and with external customers
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • An aspiration to grow into a Business Operations/Contracts Manager
  • Ability to obtain Government Security Clearance
