This position is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and contracting in support of 3rd party spend for the organization's business. This role directly executes contracting and sourcing activity to ensure the safe, reliable, cost-effective delivery of goods and services in alignment with the organization's strategic objectives and corporate growth plans. Additionally this role will be responsible for executing on the Procurement strategy by optimizing spend, leveraging the supply base, minimizing risk and ensuring compliance to regulatory standards to meet the organization's needs. Specifically, accountable for execution and delivery for business unit sourcing, contracting and procurement activities for shared services.

  • Recommend best practices to manage spend, reduce risk and create a competitive advantage by optimizing total cost of ownership.
  • Research and identify opportunities for value creation (cost savings, cost avoidance, revenue enhancement) and risk reduction.
  • Advise on contracting activity to optimize the supply base and deliver financial benefit from supply chain improvements and strategic initiatives.
  • Execute the strategic & tactical sourcing processes (RFP, RFI, RFx) for 3rd party spend, incorporating local market intelligence, conducting sourcing events, bid evaluations, commercial negotiations, supplier selection, and contract award & execution.
  • Conduct contract negotiations & redlines for all new agreements, contract expirations, and renewals, while ensuring accuracy and completeness of the contract development and execution process.
  • Develop and implement clear and concise supply contracts, aligned with contract templates and considering all legal and commercial dimensions, including remuneration mechanisms, key risks (supply, commercial, legal), and exit strategies.
  • Review contract performance and ensure compliance with contract pricing, terms and conditions, and service levels. Assists with supplier performance management to minimize contract value leakage and ensure contract compliance.
  • Ensure stakeholders understand all key terms and conditions of an agreement, including business risk, commercial implications, and commitments made, prior to contract execution.
  • Build credibility with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adoption of center-led sourcing and procurement initiatives.
  • Ensure collaborative interaction to understand operational needs, while providing effective and efficient support to the overall business.
  • Track and maintain measurable performance metrics for business unit contracting and sourcing activities to include (but not limited to) spend under management, compliance to category strategies, internal order placement performance, and value creation.
  • Enable compliance with standardized contracting and procurement practices and procedures for all key areas, including contracting strategy, sourcing, contract templates, supply risk management, contractor management, and procure-to-pay process.
  • Support leadership in the effective management and execution of all ad-hoc contract requests, while maintaining high levels of service to stakeholders.
  • Participate in other projects or duties as assigned.
  • Occasional business travel may be required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
  • Ten (10) plus years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain, commercial, business or relevant area.
  • Ten (10) plus years of experience in sourcing and contracting at, or in support, of a manufacturing site or business operations, either direct or indirect.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience working collaboratively across various business and functional areas, including multiple geographic locations.
  • Five (5) plus years of experience dealing with department heads, senior management, and customers.
  • Or equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Ability to negotiate and redline contracts, with the intent of maximizing value and minimizing risk, as well as, liaise with Legal and vendors to execute agreements.
  • Possesses the ability to be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution.
  • Ability to influence, negotiate, and analytical skills are required.
  • Ability to drive change with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Supportive and hands-on, able to act independently.
  • A strong collaborator across the business, Procurement, and other support Functions.
  • Makes decisions with good judgment, taking responsibility and delivering of results.

Salary: $92,500 - 124,900
