Senior Copy Writer - Consumer

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Copywriter will serve as the lead writer for the consumer business at Bank. They will work with stakeholders to find creative, concise, and effective editorial answers for their needs that resonate with consumers. That includes, but is not limited to, writing emails, web and internal communications content, direct mail, advertisements, social media posts and thought leadership pieces.

This role is part of the marketing and communications team, which will be working to develop content and messaging for a growing regional bank.

Our Bank is a consumer-focused organization and needs a writer who can keep the consumer's needs at the forefront. An ideal candidate is a strong writer, excellent editor, supportive team member and flexible thinker. Agency, corporate or other professional writing experience is required; please provide writing samples. Knowledge of banking, finance or economics is preferred.

Essential Functions

• Implement and elevate Bank's brand voice
• Craft messaging to support campaigns and directives
• Write and edit as needed to support the bank
• Work collaboratively with creative and banking professionals
• Willingness to help across teams
• Spot and share opportunities to do things better

Experience

• 5+ years of writing experience, preferably in agency or brand marketing

Skills

• Knowledge or understanding of banking, finance, economics, or business
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Able to work independently and meet deadlines
