As Senior Copywriter, you’ll help evolve our unique brand voice, crafting copy to communicate our brand personality and positioning, helping to differentiate the Mixbook brand. You will report to the Director of Brand Marketing and work cross-functionally with product and marketing teams. You know how to tell stories that are engaging across digital channels, working cross-functionally with product and marketing teams to inspire, educate and engage our customers.
LocationThis is a US-based remote position. Although Mixbook is fully remote we would prefer this person to be able to work on PST.
What You’ll Do- Develop a deep understanding of the Mixbook brand and tone of voice, crafting effective copy that delivers on our voice.Â
- Writing compelling, brand-right copy for our performance and email marketing assets, website, mobile app, and more.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (brand, marketing, product, partners) to develop on-brand, high-quality content that meets priorities.
- Develop concepts to support product positioning, customer personas, and brand campaigns, synthesizing requests into cohesive content plans.
- Extensively research market history, competitive landscape, behavioral insights, trends, and principles that drive consumer behavior and online shopping in order to connect our messaging with our current and potential customers.
- Be a primary contributor to the brand messaging systems that will distinguish our brand in the market, adapting to needs across media.
- 6+ years of copywriting experience within an agency or in-house creative team (bonus if it includes e-commerce or CPG brands)
- A master of short, snappy copy as well as the ability to craft compelling longer-form storiesÂ
- Experience working on developing brand framework -personality, tone of voice, personas, personality, positioning
- Excels at messaging that communicates customer persona benefits across brand and performance channels
- Highly collaborative and the ability to manage multiple projects cross-functionally
- Insatiable love for writing and an exceptional eye for detail and consistencyÂ
- Must be able to work autonomously – taking ownership of your workload and juggle several projects at one time
- A creative aptitude, appreciation, and strong grasp of the Mixbook brand
