Senior Copywriter

As a Senior Copywriter, you will be responsible for leading the production of original copy including all advertisements, creative messaging, content, and emails for all forms of digital and/or printed materials distributed through various marketing channels for tastyworks, tastytrade and IGUS. In this role you will be expected to collaborate with marketing managers to ensure copy for the entire customer experience is on-brand, engaging and inspirational to help build brand awareness, grow acquisition and increase retention of our retail brokerage businesses. 

This candidate will have a flair for words and be able to demonstrate the ability to combine and translate complex material or concepts from different sources into a message that engages and resonates with our target audience. They must thrive on challenges and are constantly looking for opportunities to learn. Must have effective time management skills and the ability to communicate clearly to internal teams and stakeholders.  

Leading copywriting for tastytrade Inc and IG US brands offers this candidate an opportunity to make a stake in the ambitious growth for an online financial network led by leaders in retail brokerage field. This role will work closely with all brands senior marketing leadership teams and report to the Vice President of Marketing Operations. 

What you’ll do:

• Write, research, and conceptualize creative, innovative content that brings readership and encourages sharing
• Write short and long form articles
• Repurpose existing messaging/content for different uses
• Master a variety of brand voices
• Work closely with marketing managers to create strong content concepts from initial briefing through to execution
• Maintain a high awareness of relevant trending topics and news to identify creative content opportunities
• Ensure consistency and quality across all written content
• Manage a team of two general copywriters 

Who you are:

• Proven work experience as a Copywriter
• Portfolio of published articles
• Excellent writing and editing skills with an eye for detail
• Experience with Content Management Systems (Wordpress or ContentStack)
• An ability to write creative copy for large pieces of content such as product descriptions or smaller texts such as social media posts
• Solid time-management skills
• Basic SEO knowledge
• Interest or passion for growth and building a dynamic fun culture
• Interest or experience exploring the world of investing, finance, and trading
