Position Overview
Paylocity is looking for a strategic, business-savvy, and results-oriented Senior Corporate Communications Manager to drive preference for Paylocity among target audiences through a variety of external channels, including media and analyst relations. As a senior member of the team, you will drive brand awareness programs; create thoughtful, differentiated, market-focused content; dive deep into data to bolster Paylocity's differentiation, and work on projects alongside senior leaders. This role requires a hands-on, yet strategic, leader - comfortable with managing in-house and agency resources, serving as an internal evangelist for Paylocity's PR/AR efforts, and always looking for the most compelling angle to tell the Paylocity story.

Reports to: Sr. Director, Corporate Marketing
Primary Responsibilities
- Build and execute the company's PR/AR strategy to build greater brand awareness
- Serve as a key storyteller for Paylocity - lead development of PR stories, pitches, news releases, bylines, awards, and other forms of content
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive cohesive content, activation, and amplification efforts
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute successful launches and integrated campaigns
- Establish relationships with key publishers/editors/influencers/analysts in the HR and payroll, software/technology, and business segments
- Lead and/or support projects that can vary in size and scope and ensure communication plans and deliverables align to business partner needs
- Monitor and report on competitor earned media activity
- Facilitate media training as necessary for executives; create earned media opportunities for key leadership
- Monitor industry trends to continue enhancing our external communications strategy.
- Track and report on earned media metrics (share of voice, sentiment, reach), as well as shifts in analyst perceptions.
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or related field, or commensurate experience
- At least eight years of professional communications experience required, with a minimum of five years focused on external communications.
- Experience working at a B2B technology or human resources company preferred
- Successful track record of executing PR/AR campaigns that embrace both brand and product messaging to drive preference among Paylocity's target markets
- Experience and genuine interest in uncovering unique and innovative approaches to build brand awareness and media/analyst coverage
- Demonstrated ability to influence key analysts and work with them to position Paylocity positively in comparison with competitors
- Highly adaptable multi-tasker - a detail-oriented self-starter who can excel in a fast-paced environment while still managing multiple priorities
- Ability to spot trends in the industry and make recommendations for proactive story pitches that highlight the company's solutions and differentiation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office product suite.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, which experience working closely with senior executives
- Experience in crisis communications a plus.

This role can be performed from any office in the US. The pay range for this position is $114,098 - $175,000/yr; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual bonus and restricted stock unit grant based on individual performance in addition to a full range of benefits outlined here.
