Zayo is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Corporate Communication Manager to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in leading and supporting a diverse range of communication projects, including change initiatives, employee engagement campaigns, and executive communications.

*We're open to our Senior Corporate Communication Manager working in a remote capacity within the United States.
Responsibilities:
Change Communication:
  • In partnership with the Change Management team, develop comprehensive communication strategies and plans to support organizational changes, including mergers, restructuring, process improvements, and other transformational initiatives.
  • Craft clear and compelling messages to help employees understand the rationale, benefits, and impact of the changes.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and change management teams to align communication efforts with business objectives and change milestones.

Employee Communication:
  • Create and execute internal communication campaigns that keep employees informed, engaged, and connected to the organization's mission and values.
  • Produce various communication materials, including newsletters, emails, presentations, and intranet content, ensuring consistency in tone and messaging.
  • Develop communication plans for employee engagement surveys, company events, and recognition programs.
  • Foster a culture of open communication by promoting two-way dialogue between employees and leadership.

Writing and Project Management:
  • Demonstrate exceptional writing skills to produce high-quality, persuasive, and well-structured communication for diverse audiences.
  • Manage communication projects from conception to delivery, ensuring timely execution and successful outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as HR, Marketing, and Operations, to integrate communication efforts and ensure consistent messaging.

Business Acumen:
  • Possess a deep understanding (or quickly learn) of the organization's industry, market, and business goals to tailor communication that resonate with stakeholders.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging communication tools and techniques.

Communication Methodology and Processes:
  • Use a range of communication methodologies, including digital media and traditional channels, to reach different employee groups effectively.
  • Apply communication processes and frameworks to assess communication needs, plan campaigns, and measure communication effectiveness.

Team Collaboration and Independent Work:
  • Collaborate effectively with the communication team, providing mentorship and support to junior staff.
  • Work independently to manage projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Public Relations, or a related field. Advanced degree, preferred.
  • Proven experience (ideally 6-10 years) in corporate communication, change communication, or employee communication, with a track record of successful project management.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor messages for different audiences and communication channels.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand and align communication strategies with organizational goals.
  • Familiarity with various communication methodologies and tools.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Efficient; Self-motivated and capable of working independently with a high level of initiative.

Base pay range: $83,300-$100,000, commensurate with experience
