Senior Corporate Development Advisor

Our Corporate Development group not only assesses M&A opportunities but reaches across the organization to advance complex financial and strategic initiatives. You will execute transactions and provide analytical insights, collaborating with senior management to support the company's business and corporate development initiatives. As you build relationships internally and externally, you'll, in turn, accelerate entrepreneurial growth and global innovation/product initiatives and enhance the organization's largest partnerships. You'll own and perform deal execution, including the core analysis to evaluate new investment opportunities, partnerships/alliances, acquisitions, mergers, spin-offs and joint ventures will be core to this role. The successful candidate will be a key partner to the global business unit leaders across all divisions.
Are you up to the challenge?
- Support growth strategy through identification, assessment and execution of potential mergers, acquisitions, investments and joint ventures as well as divestitures and partnerships by the company
- Collaborate with the VP of Corporate Development to think about corporate development opportunities in a progressive, systematic and routine fashion
- Identify and evaluate potential opportunities, including idea generation and screening processes to bring quality acquisition and investment ideas forward
- Manage cross-functional teams in developing transaction analyses and executing and interfacing with commercial, finance, strategy, accounting, legal, tax, HR and other departments to ensure seamless deal execution
- Build dynamic, flexible, detailed and accurate financial models which portray company operations, market implications and transaction details
- Lead financial and strategic discussions with management of potential investment targets
- Develop strategic rationales and make final recommendations based on due diligence, strategic fit analysis, and feasibility studies, distilling key opportunities, risks and action-oriented insights from discussions and data
- Identify most effective deal structuring options and perform valuations
- Support key organic initiatives by reviewing and assessing deals as well as building discrete strategic analysis to support decision making
- Manage Intelsat's existing investment portfolio and evaluate follow-on investment or liquidation opportunities
- Stay on top of industry trends, researching and developing theses to guide corporate strategy
You should definitely have:
- Approximately 5-8 years financial, transaction and strategy experience in M&A at an investment bank, private equity firm and/or large global corporation
- Significant experience executing all aspects of transactions including direct experience performing diligence, operational modeling, valuation, execution and integration
- Proven record of establishing strategic positioning analysis, including quantifying risks vs. upside returns and scenario modeling
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and
analytical rigor - Experience working in a demanding environment with highly motivated and driven professionals
- Ability to handle projects with multiple workstreams, with proven leadership success over a wide variety of functional business problems
- Ability to structure and manage complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with
multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels - Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling skills
- Excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities; ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior managers and external business partners
- Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work
- This role is subject to EAR/ITAR and candidates must be US Persons (US Citizens, Permanent Residents, Asylees, Refugees)
It would be nice if you had:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or Business
- Familiarity with communications networks
- Deep knowledge of the telecommunications value chain, including business models, technology and key players
- Experience with data analysis methods and tools (Tableu, Qlik etc...)
