Senior Cost Accountant

Summary

This role determines and implements cost accounting procedures and methods.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for the preparation and analysis of cost reports.
• Examines and reviews unusual cost records and ensures cost data is allocated correctly.
• Performs accounting for price variances and overhead recovery on a regular basis.
• Updates raw material prices and standards.
• Prepare and analyze forecast and budgets for raw procurement groups.
• Performs procedures for raw material during month end close process.
• Engages and communicates with multiple groups and stakeholders.
• Updates standard costs on a regular basis; sets up standard costs for new products.

Typical Education

Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university

Relevant Experience

5+ years related experience and/or training

Required Certifications

CPA or CMA preferred, but not required.
