Senior Cost Accountant

General Description:

As a Senior Cost Accountant at Window & Wall Systems, you will oversee the product costing and cost accounting function for both brands and all sites. You'll leverage data, statistics, and visualization to create actionable insights that deliver value. You will drive collaboration across teams in Procurement, Engineering, and Operations to ensure accurate product costing and inventory control.

Skills Required:

• Oversee inventory costing and associated analytics
• Analyze and determine labor/overhead rates for production facilities based on direct labor, operating expenses, and utilization
• Analyze Excess and Obsolete inventory for reserves
• Analyze variance - labor and material usage and cost
• Prepare entries and financial reports consistent with the accounting calendar, including but not limited to standard costing/cost absorption, variance analysis, inventory analysis, and project cost performance
• Draft and discuss ad hoc data queries/reports with others in the organization in support of business initiatives
• Provide support to the leadership team in strategic decision-making by providing financial insights and analysis specific to costing
• Establish databases of pertinent information for bid to actual analysis of costs supporting activities related to project, product, plant, and customer performance

Education/Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree (relevant field) and 10+ years related work experience
• Experience with ERP system - preference SAP, Epicor, AS400
• Experience with financial reporting tools - preference BPC and Power BI
• Expert in Excel
