Senior Cost Analyst

You will have exposure to the Leadership Team, hands on training, and participating in our Lean Transformation. This role will be located onsite at our Indianapolis Plant location.

What You Will Do:

• Ensure compliance with GAAP, FICAP, and Sarbanes Oxley internal controls requirements with all activities. Work with plant leaders to drive process improvements and elimination of non-value activities.
• Month End Closing Process - Including financial analysis, researching discrepancies, account reconciliations, and plant reporting
• Sarbanes Oxley Site Coordinator - Coordinate testing throughout the year. Work with Internal Audit to establish Annuals Tests to be performed and ensure testing is logged into tracking software.
• Management Reporting and Analysis - Prepare weekly and monthly management reports and use reports to drive improvements and escalation of issues. Perform cost analysis/cost-rolls, manufacturing variance analysis, standard cost establishment, and BOM/Routing Analysis. Assist Cost Manager to perform Overhead allocations and analysis. Sales/bookings/backlog and price analysis. Analyze scrap records. Purchase Price Variance analysis.
• Lead CER project tracking, Assist on CER Analysis and provide monthly spend details to Controller and General Accounting.
• Assist Plant & SBU Leaders on data analysis & gathering and assist on special projects
• Cost Accounting - This role will need to learn our product lines in detail to work on the cost of our products, including material, labor, and overheads.
• Projects and Special Assignments - This will include audit support, physical inventory, setting work center rates, standards, and many special projects and assignments.

What You Will Need to Succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 3-6 years of hands-on experience
• Experience within a manufacturing setting is highly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills. Must be able to influence decisions at all levels of the organization.
• Analytical thinker. Must be willing to spend time in the details to solve problems.
• Ability to explain and communicate financial results to management in an understandable and actionable format for decision-making purposes.
• Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel, Power BI). Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX a plus.
