Senior Cost Management Specialist

We are looking for a Senior Cost Management Specialist to help us estimate, review, negotiate, and track costs related to all stages of our interior “fit-out” construction projects. Our projects are growing in size and scale, and your work will support fit-outs in our offices worldwide. 

Our operation is fully integrated with teams of in-house engineers, architects, designers, cost and project managers, and procurement specialists working in close collaboration, along with the help of some external construction management firms and consultants. There are no silos here—you will be embedded at the center of it all, helping bring spaces to life that empower our colleagues to do their best work.

Additional responsibilities for this role will include:

• Developing estimates, leveraging cost data and take-off measurements, and iterating as needed throughout the design process
• Making budgets, incorporating hard and soft costs, FF&E, permitting costs, etc. 
• Reviewing budgets and bid documents for cost competitiveness and scope leveling and accuracy, tracking revisions from schematic design through issued for construction, and supporting the approval process for trade buyouts
• Reviewing and negotiating change orders in collaboration with other team members
• Reviewing invoices and applications for accuracy and ensuring timely payment
• Producing and managing reports at the project and portfolio levels, breaking out costs by project, commitments vs. forecast, change orders, and cash flow

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, quantity surveying, or a related field of study, or in-depth professional experience
• 7+ years of related professional experience
• Can review architectural and mechanical/electrical (MEPs) drawings
• Experienced with take-off software (i.e., On-Screen, Bluebeam)
• Explains complex technical problems with brevity and accuracy 
• Organized and can multitask and balance competing priorities
• Has demonstrated an ability to increase responsibilities over time
• Takes initiative and operates with a sense of urgency
• Team player with a flexible attitude; can switch gears and jump into projects as needed
• Strong Excel skills
• Quantity-based surveying experience is highly preferred
• Fluency in English is required
