Job Overview:

This is an exciting time to join Arm, a Nasdaq-listed multi-national company. We are looking for an attorney to join our in-house legal team. As part of the team, you will work in San Jose (California), US, supporting the Arm Sales team and providing legal advice and support to various stakeholders in the business worldwide. As a company with offices throughout the world, occasional international travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting Arm's Sales and Licensing teams across the North America region in drafting and negotiating licence agreements for Arm's technology, including travel to support face to face negotiations where required.
• Supporting Arm product groups in licensing IP.
• Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of contracts, including technology licences for both hardware and software, novation agreements and other types of commercial contracts.
• Developing expertise on a range of Arm's technology and building relationships with internal clients across Arm's offices worldwide.
• Developing expertise on a number of Arm's high-profile partners with the aim of improving the existing relationships from a legal perspective.
• Promoting and demonstrating the Arm core beliefs and behaviours.

Required Skills and Experience :

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required.
• Member of California State Bar required.
• At least 5 years of experience in commercial contracts, with a strong background in sales transactions, technology transactions, software transactions, and commercial law experience.
• Knowledge of contract and intellectual property law applicable to technology (hardware and software) licensing and commercial contracts more broadly.
• Experience in working across cultures in this high-profile international company
• Ability to think laterally and to challenge assumption and working practises.
• Excellent communication and drafting skills. Capable of building strong business and working relationships within Arm and with its partners.

"Nice To Have" Skills and Experience :

• In-house experience is helpful, especially if it includes exposure to other substantive legal areas but is not a crucial requirement for the right candidate.
• Prior experience working in semiconductor or related industries.

In Return:

Salary Range:

From: $191,250

To: $247,500
