What You Will Be Doing
ChargePoint is seeking an experienced and self-motivated technology/commercial attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment to join its legal team. The successful candidate must have deep experience in negotiating a wide range of commercial and technology transactions and a proven track record of handling multiple and complex matters simultaneously and independently for customer/vendor facing transactions.  Â
- Draft, review, advise and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (direct and via our channel partners), including SaaS agreements, master services agreement, purchase agreements, statements of work, consulting services agreements, and other various agreements.Â
- Interpret contract requirements, obligations and risk exposure and advise on same.
- Partnering with internal stakeholders, including sale’s leadership, finance, marketing, procurement, and customer service in a continued effort to streamline contract related processes.
- Ensure conformity to business needs, proper risk allocation and compliance with the companywide policies and procedures.
- Facilitate internal contract approval and stakeholder negotiation to resolve complex issues and assist in disputes (escalating complex legal and factual issues to the appropriate internal parties).
- Prepare contract summaries to assure proper interpretation of contracts.

What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
- Position requires a Juris Doctorate and strong preference for membership in good standing with a state bar.
- Minimum 7+ years of legal experience, including reviewing and negotiating a wide variety of technology and commercial agreements.Â
- Customer-centric and solutions-oriented approach in supporting both external and internal clients while protecting the best interests of the company.
- Comfort moving from high-level deal terms to detailed contract redlining, tracking positions and turning versions quickly.
- Highly-collaborative with business stakeholders, jointly formulating practical solutions and multiple paths to closure.
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and successfully manage aggressive deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Strong understanding of commercial and financial implications of strategy development process.
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication and presentation styles.
- Strong work ethic with ability to work independently.
- In-house counsel experience strongly preferred.

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.Â
The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $85,000 to $204,000. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.Â
