Senior CPIC Analyst

Chevo is currently hiring an experienced Senior CPIC Analyst, to join our expanding Portfolio Management practice. This position is primarily located on-site with our client in the Washington, DC Metro Area. The ideal candidate will demonstrate versatility in understanding and performing work related to program/project management, portfolio management, capital planning and investment control (CPIC), program governance, and system development life cycle management activities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Providing hands on strategic and tactical advisory services to improve the efficacy of the CPIC process while reducing complexity and burden
• Making recommendations for improvements to the project and portfolio management policies, procedures, and processes using industry best practices in CPIC and portfolio management.
• Serve as primary point of contact between CPIC office and Programs to ensure effective communication between both sets of organizations
• Provide directed advisory and coaching support to CPIC staff and key stakeholders on CPIC processes and programmatic issues;
• Review, assessment and recommendations for business case scoring for quality and completion as needed;
• Review of monthly submissions for quality and completion; approve Baseline Change Requests
• Participate in bi-monthly CPIC meetings
• Review and update CPIC guidance as changes occur from OMB and other oversight bodies.
• Perform various ad hoc analysis.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree
• 12 years total experience in a CPIC lead role
• Experience working at an enterprise-wide level federal department or agency
• Conduct Executive Level briefings
• CTBME® certification- if you are not already certified, you will have to acquire this certification
• Experience in managing investments from a portfolio perspective
• Ability to pass client security clearance requirements

Desired Qualifications:

• Strong consulting experience), writing, and client handling skills
• Experience with CPIC portfolio management tools
• Prior experience in a Federal Government Consulting role
• Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to present a polished, professional, and diplomatic image to clients
• Strong analytical skills - assertive and inquisitive manner that allows the individual to take indirectly related and orally communicated information and transform it into actionable information
