ABOUT YOU is a company driven by the passion to develop the best tech products. Currently we are looking for an experienced & passionate Senior Craftsperson PHP Developer (m/f/d) for our Payment Team.

The Payment team is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance API hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain robust PHP applications within the payment lifecycle

• Implement and advocate for extreme programming practices such as Slicing Test-Driven Development (TDD) pair programming Mob Programming Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration

• Work closely with legacy code improving and refactoring to enhance scalability and maintainability

• Ensure all code meets high standards of quality and adheres to best practices contributing to a sustainable development pace

Who you are

• Minimum of 4  years experience with PHP. We use PHP 8.3

• Practical experience developing APIs

• Experience working with PostgreSQL Redis or equivalent data storage.

• Strong experience with git

• Self-motivated and responsible working

• Passionate and eager to learn

• Knowledge of eXtreme Programming principles values and practices

• Working effectively with legacy code

• Used to work in an English-speaking environment
