We’re looking for a Senior Creative Copywriter (Brand) to join our Marketing team. This is both a conceptual and an executional role, working alongside a VP Brand, Director of Comms, Social Media Lead and the wider business to craft Cleo’s key messages and their implementation across all consumer touch-points.
This is a great opportunity for a conceptual writer to create award-winning work with a brand with a fun tone of voice - leading Cleo’s brand voice strategy.
What you’ll be doing
We're not boring. Which isn’t easy to be when you're talking about money. So we’re looking for a seasoned copywriter who’s copy and tone has defined the best brands around.

Specifically:
- Shaping Cleo’s TOV, presenting and delivering key messaging concepts that align and contribute towards a strong brand strategy.Â
- Leading the process to develop and implement message hierarchies related to consumer, industry and user engagement campaigns.
- Owning the brand voice and the evolution of Cleo’s tone.
- Being the human voice of Cleo AI, driving conversations and brand awareness across multiple marketing channels.You will spend time writing polished PR and Brand materials as well as fun, quippy content for social media.
- Coaching marketing teams and the wider organization on our brand tone of voice - setting the standard for our brand tone and its application.
- Giving and receiving feedback through copy critiques and creative reviews.Â
- Connecting with writers from across the business to share learnings and keep our voice consistent
- Playing against yourself to be more creative, more effective each week
What we’re looking for
- You’ve got 8+ years of experience as a writer with some best-in-class creative agency experience - taking ownership of compelling copy that’s changed the course of a business.Â
- Excellent stakeholder management skills - a master of communication and collaboration
- You have a great sense of humor, are highly media literate and tapped into internet culture
- You have a firm understanding of tone of voice and how that affects brand perception, and are able to switch between voices with ease.
- You know how to articulate your vision through your writing craft and have a body of work across different platforms and concepts that demonstrate this.
- A doer, you are happy to get stuck in and do what it takes to fulfill our mission
- Strong knowledge of how tone can differ across channel and audienceÂ
