Senior Cybersecurity Architect

Job objective: Epirus is seeking a motivated IT Cybersecurity Engineer to join the IT and Cybersecurity team. In this role you will support and champion our cyber defenses and capabilities, work to provide proactive breach prevention and keep us on the cutting edge of security in general. You will own the planning, implementation, deployment and tuning of cutting-edge Cybersecurity infrastructure. This is an engineering-first role, focused on Cybersecurity infrastructure and architecture design, implementation and tuning. You will help drive and shape our cybersecurity programs from the ground up. You will also assist with managing our MSSPs (Managed Security Services Providers) and implantation of compliance programs. Our ideal candidate has experience implementing large-scale Cybersecurity projects as well as general IT and networking skills, and a passion for both cybersecurity and all things technology.

• Work inside the Cybersecurity & Defense Compliance department, implementing, deploying and tuning existing and new Cybersecurity platforms and infrastructure
• Deploy and maintain cybersecurity platforms including endpoint security, firewalls and monitoring systems
• Deconflict and harmonize multiple cybersecurity platforms, processes and infrastructure to work seamlessly together
• Participate in and lead Change Control Boards and Change Advisory Boards, in support of Cybersecurity and Compliance-related efforts
• Assess security threats/risks, recommend and assist in the delivery of solutions to mitigate risks
• Review logs from intrusion detection and monitoring systems; conduct correlation analysis and action accordingly. Optimize and streamline systems, such as SIEM, EDR, Firewall logging, etc. 
• Participate in the creation and administration of data security policies, procedures, and standards
• Assist with detection, response and remediation efforts on the Cybersecurity Operations section of the team. Leverage technologies such as SASE, ZTA, PAM, to optimize the above
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and follow-up of the security awareness and training programs
• Supporting security audits (vendor or client) as necessary
• Preparing detailed technical documentation, reports and network/system maps as required
• Implement and use security monitoring tools to evaluate and improve the security of organization systems and networks
• Act as a Senior-level Cybersecurity SME for special projects as assigned

• 5+ years of hands-on IT and Cybersecurity engineering experience 
• Deep experience in selecting, implementing and deploying Cybersecurity platforms and infrastructure in an agile, fast-paced environment
• Senior level Cybersecurity Certifications: CISSP, CISM, OSCP, CEH, GSEC certifications
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365, Azure Active Directory and MS Intune MDM
• Experience with CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Carbon Black or other EDR tools
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Sentinel and other Microsoft cloud security tooling
• Extensive experience with SIEMs, Splunk, other security telemetry related logging platforms

• Aerospace/Defense experience and/or military experience
• Startup Experience, exposure to the Agile lifecycle
• Experience working in a SOC (Security Operations Center) and/or NOC (Network Operations Center)
• Network experience with Fortinet/Fortigate products
• Experience with Industry Standard Vulnerability scanning and management tools
• Experience with NIST, CMMC and ITAR compliance frameworks
• Active security clearance (Secret, TS, etc.)
• Experience with Classified Networking, SCIFs, and related systems (NIPR/SIPRnet)
